Whenever you are working with important files and folders, it's essential to back up this data from time to time to a secure location, so in case your hard disk crashes or a virus formats it, you will still have a copy of all your important files.

Unfortunately, Windows does not provide a backup utility, so you will need to install a separate application for this purpose. In this situation, you could just install Leo Backup. This Windows program allows you to back up any type of file to different locations.

After installing and launching the software, the user will be taken through a step by step wizard, in which he can configure a new backup task. As such, he will first need to select the files which will be backed up. Next, one should select the backup location, which can be a local or network drive, a FTP location or even Amazon S3 server. Optionally, the user can compress or encrypt the selected files, so that nobody except him will have access to them.

Leo Backup can be programmed to automatically back up files in a scheduled mode, for making sure that even the newest created files are already backed up. Having configured all these settings, the backup process can begin. After completing the step by step wizard, the user will see the backup task in the main interface of Leo Backup and will be able to run the task at any moment, by accessing the graphical toolbar.

Several backup tasks can be added to the program's interface and each of them can contain its own settings. In case the user needs to re-install the application, he can save the list of backup jobs to a ZIP file, so that he can import the configuration later on. What's more, the application's functionality can be protected with a password, so that nobody except the user has access to the backup jobs.

Pros

It allows you to configure backup tasks by going through a step by step wizard. Besides that, several backup jobs can be added to the program, each containing its own settings. Furthermore, the program's functionality can be protected with a password. Moreover, the list of backup tasks can be exported to a ZIP file, for later use.

Cons

Having so many settings available in the step by step wizard, some users may become confused. Using Leo Backup, you can easily back up all your files to various locations.
